The NBR (acrylonitrile butadiene copolymer) is used for most gasketing applications for conventional fluids. It is excellent in impermeability for air and gas. Among the characteristics of chemical resistance, NBR has good resistance to oils, hydrocarbons, or gas and in general to mineral, vegetable, and animal fats.
