High-performance O-rings are usually manufactured by compression or transfer molding to ensure material integrity and dimensional accuracy. Throughout the entire production process, all O-rings are subject to strict quality control to ensure resistance to thermal degradation, chemical attack, and mechanical stress.
Standard rubber compounds can quickly deteriorate under extreme heat, oil exposure, or chemical interaction. High-performance rubber materials (such as Viton® O-rings or FFKM) extend the service life and reliability of critical components, reduce maintenance costs, and ensure safe operation in challenging conditions.
Silicone provides outstanding thermal stability, functioning effectively from -60°C to +230°C. It is non-reactive, flexible, and suitable for clean environments like food, pharmaceutical, and electronics industries.
Viton is a premium fluoroelastomer known for its excellent resistance to fuels, oils, and aggressive chemicals. It performs reliably under high pressure and temperature, making it ideal for aerospace, automotive, and petrochemical applications.
Fluorosilicone combines the heat resistance and flexibility of silicone with the fuel and solvent resistance of fluorocarbon rubber. It maintains excellent performance across a wide temperature range (-70°C to +200°C) and resists non-polar solvents, oils, fuels, and even some hydraulic fluids. Due to its premium performance, it is often used in aerospace, military, and high-end automotive systems. While more expensive than standard elastomers, FVMQ is a top choice for critical sealing tasks in chemically aggressive and thermally challenging environments.
