Door Opening Weatherstrip： mounted on the splash of the vehicle body. It is a primary compression compaction that forms a continuous loop to isolate the cab from water, air infiltration and road noise.
Door Perimeter Weatherstrip:installed along the inner perimeter of the door frame. It ACTS as secondary sealing, which works in conjunction with the sealing on the side of the enclosure to increase sound insulation (reduce NVH) and to amortize the closing of the door.

If you can pull the paper out easily with little to no resistance, the seal has lost its grip and is no longer protecting your cabin.
